As a system supplier of gear cutting machines, tools and automation systems, Liebherr will be presenting new products at the IMTS show, which takes place from 8 to 13 September 2014 in Chicago, USA. Visitors will find Liebherr at Booth N-6930.
The generating- and profile-grinding machine LGG 180 with four seconds chip-to-chip time on a single-table solution for example meets the requirements of the automotive and commercial vehicle industry. The new generating and profile grinding machine is available in two versions: The LGG 180 for all gears up to 180 mm in diameter and the LGG 280 for gears up to 280 mm in diameter. The grinding machine combines short grinding times with consistently high quality in high-volume operations, which is made possible by the single-table solution.
In the area of automation systems, Liebherr presents several solutions at IMTS Chicago 2014. Liebherr offers flexible robot systems with which the automated recovery of randomly arranged parts (also referred to as “bin picking”) can be automated economically and with a high level of process reliability. Further, Liebherr displays a plastic chain conveyor at the LGG 180.
Among the gear cutting tool innovations are innovative tools for finishing and hard machining.
