Clever load planning with EasyCargo

Since its foundation in 2011, Liebherr-Logistics GmbH has stood for efficiency and speed. To ensure that these standards continue to be met, procedures and processes are continuously improved. A key factor is reliable and economical load planning to ensure the supply of customers.

Planning in record time

With the EasyCargo load planning software, load plans for containers and trucks can be created and visualized online in just a few minutes. The wide variety of almost 150,000 different spare parts in stock requires flexibility in terms of load carriers, carriers, and vehicle types. This increasing complexity has made manual load space planning time-consuming and inefficient.

In order to find the best solution, Liebherr-Logistics has considered several planning software programs. Ultimately, EasyCargo was chosen − the intuitive user interface, the web-based application, and the ability to share loading plans directly from the system were the deciding factors. The software promises time savings of up to 90% and optimum utilization of cargo space.

Initial successes make us optimistic about the future

EasyCargo has been in trial use for several months now. Thanks to the individual configuration of transport vehicles and packages, the solution could be optimally adapted to the requirements of Liebherr-Logistics GmbH. One milestone was the planning and loading of the first 40-foot container to Singapore in October 2025 using EasyCargo.

The time required for manual and software-supported load planning was compared based on average monthly truck dispatches. The results show considerable savings potential: a five-figure cost reduction is expected for 2026.
