During operation with material handling grabs, the stabilizing winch with constant tension and free-fall prevents swinging of the grab and ensures exact positioning of the material.

The HS 895 HD - duty cycle machine with two 350 kN winches - is handling 400 t of sand per hour. With a swing angle of approx. 180° it requires only 45 seconds per cycle. The digging depth has been increased to 40 m.
The grab, with a filling capacity of 5 m³, can optimally penetrate very hard soils or interlocked material thanks to the specifically rounded shape and the grab teeth.
Stone blocks are positioned with the aid of a mechanical or hydraulic orange peel grab in the construction of breakwaters or harbour facilities.

The engine power of the new HS 8130 has been reduced to 505 kW compared to 670 kW in the preceding model. The efficiency is thus significantly increased while fuel consumption is decreased.
Special attention was given to the uncomplicated and economic transportation on all roads in accordance with current international transport regulations.
Thanks to minimum set-up work the machine can be quickly mobilized between jobsites so promoting economic deployment.
