R 920 Compact swing crawler excavator: first introduced in North America

  • New Stage IV / Tier 4f engine with no diesel particulate filter
  • Short tail swing radius for increased safety and flexibility on sites
  • Innovative maintenance concept for easy, fast and safe servicing

The new Liebherr R 920 Compact swing displayed at Conexpo 2017 marks the first public appearance of this crawler excavator in North America.

The R 920 Compact swing has an operating weight between 41,000 and 48,000 lbs. It is powered by a Tier 4 Final / Stage IV engine with 150 HP (110 kW) and has a SCR system with urea injection and oxidation catalyst. Particulate filters are available optionally.

The R 920 Compact Swing combines the excellent performance of a standard crawler excavator with the versatility of a reduced swing of a compact machine. With a short tail swing radius of only 6’ the machine can be operated effectively on construction sites where space is limited. The dimensions of the R 920 Compact Swing ensure unrestricted movement around the jobsite and easy transportation from one job site to another.
