We are hiring Service Technicians to support our Mining operations in Fort McMurray. In this role, your communication skills are a balance of technical and customer service. As the Service Technician, you are part of a team that delivers effective repair of mining machinery and equipment components on client sites to provide high levels of quality. Journeyman Service Technician Responsibilities:

  • You will troubleshoot, inspect and diagnose Liebherr machinery and components including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, engines, gearbox/drive train, A/C systems
  • Use your expertise to perform pre-delivery inspections of equipment and new and used equipment preparation
  • Perform servicing on Liebherr machinery you will complete fluid checks, sample pulling, oil and filter checks, changing lubricants, replacing filters, and greasing machine lube points
  • Tackle complex equipment failures
  • Service Technicians ensure components, material and/or equipment is inspected, corrected to specifications and ensure a timely delivery
  • Correspond with external and internal customers to provide updates on schedule, coordinate parts, and diagnostics
  • You're dedicated to Apprentices by guiding and mentoring tasks

Journeyman Service Technician Requirements:

  • Heavy Equipment Technician Journeyman License preferred
  • Red Seal an asset
  • Experienced repairing and maintaining heavy equipment
  • Proven diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Ability to interpret and understand schematics and drawings
  • MS Office, service reporting, time entry and parts ordering software
  • Innovative and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • You are able to follow instructions, guidelines and protocols
