BAT 180 Rotary drive (BAT series)

The powerful rotary drive delivers the required torque for common drilling applications such as Kelly, continuous flight auger or full displacement drilling. Considerable advantages are the automatic torque regulation as well as four electronically adjustable speed ranges. The rotary drive is powered by the on-board hydraulics of the LB carrier machine. Designed for continuous operation, the rotary drive enables especially fast drilling cycles.
Torque 180 kNm

Features

Automatic gearbox

Automatic gearbox

Four electronically adjustable speed ranges and automatic torque regulation allow for perfect adaption to the prevailing soil conditions. The drilling process is not interrupted through changing speed.

Kelly shock absorber

Kelly shock absorber

The standard Kelly shock absorber with springs and hydraulic dampers protects the material and reduces noise emission.

Exchangeable cardan joints

Exchangeable cardan joints

These cardan joints can be exchanged to suit the size of the casing driver.

Exchangeable drive adapters

Exchangeable drive adapters

Exchangeable drive adapters allow for the use of various Kelly bars.

Integrated control system

Integrated control system

The rotary drive is completely integrated in the control system of the Liebherr carrier machines. This provides optimum control comfort.

Easy transport and maintenance

Easy transport and maintenance

Thanks to the short and lightweight design, the rotary drive is extremely efficient as well as user-friendly in terms of transportation and maintenance.

Technical data

Torque 180 kNm
Speed 60 U/min

Optional equipment

Automated casing driver

Automated casing driver

Automated casing drivers allow for quick and safe connection of rotary drive and casing from the comfort of the cabin. Locking and unlocking is also possible without rotation.

Exchange of equipment

Exchange of equipment

Equipment can be quickly exchanged for different methods of operation.

Applications

Kelly drilling

Kelly drilling

Kelly drilling belongs to the most common dry rotary drilling methods. Soil and rock material is conveyed to the surface discontinuously with relatively short rotary drilling tools. more

Continuous flight auger drilling

Continuous flight auger drilling

The loosened soil material is continuously conveyed to the surface using a continuous auger, the so-called continuous flight auger. more

Full displacement drilling

Full displacement drilling

Full displacement drilling is a modification of continuous flight auger drilling. The drilling tool used is a smooth pipe with an auger-type starter piece. more

Double rotary drilling

Double rotary drilling

Double rotary drilling combines continuous flight auger drilling with a continuous casing. more

Down-the-hole drilling

Down-the-hole drilling

For down-the-hole drilling a hammer is mounted on the lower end of a drill rod. The hammer is activated by adding compressed air. more
