The Swedish crane rental company A-Lyft has taken delivery of a Liebherr mobile construction crane MK 140 in June. It is the first mobile construction crane of this type in Sweden.

Erik Behrens, Managing Director of the Liebherr dealer ALFAB, hands over the MK 140 to Stefan Ekstam, Managing Director of A-Lyft.

Stefan Ekstam, Managing Director of A-Lyft and his staff members as well as representatives of the responsible dealer ALFAB travelled in May to Biberach to receive training for the MK 140 at the Liebherr manufacturing plant. Delivery of the crane took place in June on the premises of A-Lyft in Mölndal near to Gothenburg.

Already a few days after its delivery, the MK 140 was used for the first time at the roofs of Gothenburg. Stefan Ekstam already knows that the crane will work on many city-centre projects where the 94m hook height and 65m radius of the versatile mobile construction crane will be fully exploited.

Since its formation in 2008, the Swedish crane company has been relying on Liebherr: A-Lyft has already six Liebherr mobile cranes of different size categories as well as two Liebherr mobile construction cranes MK 88 in its fleet. Next year, they intend to add two further MK 88 cranes.

A-Lyft currently has 12 staff members and continues to grow. The executive board is convinced that the flagship among the mobile construction cranes will pay off.

The Liebherr dealer ALFAB has almost 40 years of experience in the mobile crane business. In the spring of last year, they added mobile construction cranes to their offer. Since that time, the family-owned enterprise, in collaboration with Liebherr-Werk Biberach GmbH, has already supplied more than 20 new cranes to the Swedish market.
