LOT, the launch customer of the Embraer E-170 aircraft, has the first scheduled E-Jet landing gear overhauls in Europe. Following the successful overhaul campaign Liebherr perfomed for LOT’s ERJ 145 aircraft, and based on Liebherr’s experience, support package and the companies’ existing business relationship, LOT has again chosen Liebherr now. The new contract is a success for Liebherr-Aerospace’s customer services, and will further enhance its business relationship with LOT. Poland’s largest airline is headquartered in Warsaw and currently operates 30 Embraer aircraft.

The complete landing gear system, including the brake system, for the E-Jet family E170, E175, E190 and E195 was developed by Liebherr-Aerospace. The components of the main landing gear are manufactured at the Lindenberg plant, whereas parts for the nose landing gear and actuators and for the brake subsystems are produced by partners in Brazil and in the USA.
