The beginning of a new era
With the CBG 500 E we offer an all-electric transshipment solution that combines the market demands for a reliable crane with high handling capacities. Due to the electric drives, the available energy is used efficiently and the crane operates in an environmentally friendly manner. The all-electric CBG 500 E has a boom length of up to 50 m and handles up to 2,000 t per hour. In sheltered water the maximum load capacity in grab operation is 90 t and in open water 65 t.

The combination of state-of-the-art inverter technology, power storage and application-specific power management leads in a powerful drive system with simultaneous reduction of the required energy.
The electric motors used ensure low emission levels and environmentally friendly operation of the crane.
The supercapacitors used as standard in Liebherr's own LiCaTronic® energy recovery system support the increasing requirements regarding energy efficiency .

43 m or 50 m boom
The right boom length for individual needs. The longer boom variant offers the decisive advantage of enabling direct transshipment between two vessels in sheltered and open water.

Grab or hook operation
In hook operation, the CBG 500 E has a lifting capacity of up to 105 t and in grab operation up to 90 t.

Application as floating or fixed crane
The CBG 500 E can be installed on barges and transshippers as a floating solution, but also as a fix installed crane on land.

Comfort ascent
A safe and comfortable ascent for the crane operator is made possible via a secured staircase on the outside of the crane.

Counterweights
For installation on a barge, the crane can be equipped with additional counterweights, enabling safe cargo handling.

Additional platforms and boom walkway
To enable safe service and facilitate maintenance work, the crane can be equipped with additional platforms and a secured boom walkway.

Maritime cabin
The operator's cab of the CBG 500 E has been positioned higher and designed with a cabin extension to give the crane operator an optimal viewing angle of all processes. The redesign of the cabin interior also focuses on the crane operator. Thanks to the new coupling of joystick and armrest, not only does the driver's comfort increase, but the control of the crane also becomes even more precise and safe. With the new integrated touch panel, all crane functions can be selected clearly and intuitively, which greatly simplifies the operation of the crane. An integrated bottle cooler provides cool drinks - even on warm days. A revised air-conditioning concept significantly increases the well-being of the operator, whether air-conditioning or heating. It also ensures that fogged windows are quickly dehumidified, thus providing a clear view and more safety.
