Liebherr-Transportation Systems has received a contract to develop and deliver a new generation of an electronically controlled damping system for the new, low noise articulation system for buses made by Hübner GmbH & Co. KG, based in Kassel (Germany). The system dampens the movement of the vehicle steering joint and enhances the ride comfort as well as the safety of the passengers at the same time. Integrated sensors continuously monitor the given damping range depending on the turning speed.

The contract includes the delivery of about 5,000 dampers per year. They will be installed in buses that are operated worldwide.
