Working at Liebherr means variety: Numerous development opportunities, being active all over the world and having a high degree of personal responsibility. Hardly anyone knows this better than Lei Shen. She is the project manager for homologation at Liebherr and, as a certification engineer at Liebherr-Werk Ehingen GmbH, she is responsible for the approval of the largest cranes in the world. What is it that fascinates her particularly about the work? She is able to combine her passion for technology with the great responsibility that comes with the job, and also has the opportunity to be active in intercultural teams.

The Liebherr Group attaches great importance to inspiring and promoting women in mathematics, IT, the natural sciences and technology (MINT). At the Career Point on the company’s outdoor stand at Bauma, Lei Shen is ready for any questions about her job and opportunities at Liebherr and provides exclusive insights: “Sometimes I cannot believe what I do every day. An absolute highlight at Liebherr was the acceptance of our largest crawler crane, the LR 13000, for China.” This crane is the largest conventional crawler crane in the world. For comparison, it is more than three times as powerful as the LR 18000, the largest and heaviest exhibit at all of Bauma.
