At this year's Engine China in Beijing, Liebherr Components will focus again on the common rail fuel injection systems from the company's own development and production.

A special highlight on the exhibition stand will be the common rail fuel injection system 11.2 with a power output of up to 1,000 kW in total. This advanced common rail system for engines of up to three litres capacity per cylinder allows Liebherr to offer an attractive alternative for both on-highway and off-highway applications, in both medium- and heavy-duty ranges and in the field of industrial engines. The system meets the requirements of all current emission standards and is optimised in particular for the coming EU Stage V. For maximum efficiency, it features a continuous leak-free operation. The Liebherr injectors supply a maximum full load injection volume of 600 mg with steady multi-point injection. The nozzles can be adapted to the required engine performance from a broad flow rate range. The flow rate range in this case is between 600 and 2,200 ml/ 30 seconds. This broad spectrum makes it suitable for high performance engines as well.

The common rail system 11.5 for engines of up to six litres capacity per cylinder with a total power output of up to 5,000 kW will also be presented on the exhibition stand. The common rail system 11.5 is configured for operation under tough loads and is, therefore, ideal for the application in mining equipment, gen-sets and maritime applications. With precise multiple injection at pressures of up to 2,200 bar, constant performance and low emission values are guaranteed throughout the engine's service life.

The hydraulic components of both systems are designed for long service life of up to 25,000 hours under harshest working conditions as, for example, the use of aggressive fuels. For this reason, the high pressure hydraulic pumps are oil-lubricated and their functionally relevant parts, like injectors, are sealed with highly resistant coatings.

Both systems are moreover perfectly supplemented by Liebherr engine control units from the company's own development and production. The control units unite all control functions, including exhaust gas aftertreatment, in a single unit and are suitable for the toughest of environmental conditions as verified by ISO 15998, ISO 13849 and ISO 61508 SIL2.
