A leading supplier to the aviation industry, Liebherr-Aerospace is again welcoming partners and visitors at Farnborough Airshow this year. From July 14 to 18, the company is showcasing systems and components from the areas of flight control and actuation, air management and landing gear as well as products from the area of gearboxes. Highlights among the exhibits on the 250 m² stand E6 in hall 4 include the nose and the main landing gear of Bombardier’s CSeries aircraft, a wing tip brake for the A350 XWB, a cooling pack for the C919, and a newly developed gearbox for a next-generation helicopter program. Moreover, Liebherr-Aerospace’s customer services division is represented.

Moreover, Liebherr-Aerospace is celebrating the world premiere of its new stand concept. Thanks to its redesigned layout, the stand gives each product line an appropriate stage. One of the new, exciting features is an interactive screen showing an animated film about Liebherr-Aerospace’s capabilities as a developer, manufacturer and integrator of aircraft systems. Visitors will learn about landing gears, flight controls and air management systems and how they function on board an aircraft.

For the first time, Liebherr-Elektronik GmbH, Lindau (Germany), is Farnborough International Airshow. The company is displaying its electronics control units and power electronics, thus complementing the exhibits on Liebherr-Aerospace’s stand. Components of system solutions, Liebherr-Elektronik's electronic assemblies have already been tried and tested in a range of aircraft programs. Liebherr offers a variety of DAL A functions covering a broad range of different hardware platforms − in the field of power electronics and in the field of control and monitoring electronics. A total of five controllers are on display at the trade show in Farnborough: two controllers for integrated air management systems, a flight control cabinet with up to nine individual electronic modules, a supplemental cooling systems controller with power and control electronics and motor drive electronics for an active differential gearbox.
