- JNK Lifters adds Liebherr LTM 1250-5.1 mobile crane to its fleet
- Enormous lifting capacity and VarioBase® variable support base were the main reasons behind the purchase
- JNK Lifters values Liebherr product quality and customer service
Crane rental company JNK Lifters based in Mumbai took delivery of a new LTM 1250-5.1 mobile crane at the Liebherr stand at the Bauma Conexpo India construction machinery trade show. The high lifting capacity of the 5-axle machine and its VarioBase® variable support base with the main criteria behind the purchase. This new Liebherr crane sees JNK Lifters expand its mobile crane range significantly upwards.
Jayantilal Gala, Director of the company, personally has more than 32 years of experience in the crane industry and is one of the pioneers of the crane rental sector in India. He said: "The new LTM 1250-5.1 is an extremely versatile crane. It has an enormous lifting capacity and can tackle many of the crane jobs in the petrochemicals and steel fabrication sectors normally reserved for cranes in the 300 tonne class. Innovations such as VarioBase®, VarioBallast, ECOmode and very long lattice jibs give us a major advantage over our competitors."
JNK Lifters purchased the LTM 1250-5.1 with a 36-metre folding jib and a 46-metre fixed lattice jib. Kunal Gala, Director at JNK Lifters regards the Liebherr VarioBase® as a particularly great benefit: "The variable support base is a great benefit when there is not enough space to extend all four outriggers in full. However, it is often possible to fully extend two of the outriggers. This means that we can now complete crane work using the full capacity of the crane if we work in the direction of the extended outriggers. And the operation of the crane is also secured by the crane controller."
The main areas of use for the new LTM 1250-5.1 will include tower crane assembly, maintenance work in the petrochemicals industry, support work for wind turbine erections and underground railway construction sites.
JNK Lifters has a workforce of 100 people and a fleet of around 25 cranes. Around 5 years ago it extended its rental fleet to include work platforms. The company is now gradually replacing its older machines with new ones. The LTM 1250-5.1 is the first Liebherr crane that JNK has bought. Jayantilal Gala explains: "Liebherr is the global market leader in the crane industry. Liebherr has an excellent service infrastructure here in India and the cranes are robust and reliable. The Liebherr team is very helpful and customer service is the company's main priority. We are very proud of working with a company which has such high core values."
