News | 04/13/2019 Experience Liebherr tower cranes with virtual reality

In the VR Pavilion at the Liebherr stand Bauma visitors can be transported to a virtual construction site: They move around in the computer-generated reality and operate the tower cranes with the help of VR glasses and controllers. Customers can also design their own crane: with their own logos and colours.

In the Liebherr Tower Crane World a virtual construction site in Munich is accessible via VR-glasses.

Take a seat in the Tower Crane World and immerse yourself in the virtual world using VR glasses: From the trade fair stand at Bauma you first fly over Munich passing typical Munich landmarks such as the Allianz Arena and the Frauenkirche cathedral and land on a construction site in the middle of the city.

This is where the controllers come into play for the hands: Using the controllers you can move in the 3D world and explore the virtual construction site. For example, here is the 370 EC-B 12 Fibre tower crane. With a click the trade fair visitor is in the new LiCAB crane cab and sits where normally only the crane operator has access. Via the controller loads can be moved and the construction site can be explored from completely new angles. With this virtual reality application, the visitors can experience the crane in new dimensions. In the 3D environment this is also possible in varying weather conditions and at different times of the day and night.

Liebherr has also come up with something special for its customers: They can design the 370 EC-B 12 Fibre in their own customer colours and look at it in virtual reality: incl. own logos on the advertising spaces.
