HS 8070.1 Duty cycle crawler crane (HS series)

The brand new HS 8070.1 represents the latest generation of Liebherr duty cycle crawler cranes. The machine is driven by an enhanced diesel engine from Liebherr. Noise emission and fuel consumption are significantly reduced. The machine has a load capacity of 70 tonnes and is the first choice for diverse applications: material handling, deep foundation or lifting work.
Max. lifting capacity 70 t
Engine power 320 kW
Max. winch line pull 2 x 200 kN
Max. main boom 50.00 m

Safe access

Safe access

Side platforms, railings and ladders are fully integrated in the new machine design and no longer need to be removed for transport.

Easy refuelling

Easy refuelling

Diesel or urea (AdBlue) can be refilled via the side platform.

Flexible counterweight

Flexible counterweight

Thanks to the modular counterweight system the duty cycle crawler crane can be individually equipped depending on the application.

Transport

Transport

Detachable crawlers reduce the transport weight to under 35 tonnes.

Gear oil level warning

Gear oil level warning

The display indicates to the driver as soon as gear oil has to be refilled for the main winches, the swing drive and the luffing winch.

Comfort

Comfort

This includes a modern air-conditioning system with improved airflow, an optimized field of vision and increased noise protection, as well as an orthopaedic operator’s seat with integrated heating and cooling.

Engine

Engine

The latest Stage V (Tier 4f) engine from Liebherr convinces through reduced noise and exhaust emissions, as well as lower fuel consumption with a simultaneous increase in engine power.

Performance

Performance

Thanks to the optimization of the complete drive system the duty cycle crawler crane can perform even more efficiently.

Intelligent crane control

Intelligent crane control

The crane control system offers a multitude of programme and control options. Color displays clearly provide service and machine data. All movements can be carried out simultaneously. The operator thus benefits from a facilitated handling of the rig. Furthermore, quick working cycles are achieved.

Flexibility in operation

Flexibility in operation

Thanks to the modular concept in combination with a variety of equipment options, the crane can be configured for its special job: This includes working with slurry wall grab and casing oscillator, material loading with grab or drag bucket, dynamic soil compaction as well as dredging.

Self-loading system

Self-loading system

The crawlers and rear counterweight can be easily disassembled for transportation without an auxiliary crane.

Lifting operation

Lifting operation

Equipped with an additional counterweight and a fixed jib, the duty cycle crawler crane can operate as an auxiliary crane.

Control system for dragline operation

Control system for dragline operation

The "interlock" control system for dragline operations ensures powered lowering with drag winch, while lifting of the bucket with the hoist winch. This reduces fuel consumption and minimizes wear of the free fall brake.

Slurry wall grab control

Slurry wall grab control

This is an electronic control for precise lowering of the grab. It protects the grab during positioning, prevents caving in of the trench due to high speeds, saves fuel, and is simple to handle.

Automated control system for dynamic soil compaction

Automated control system for dynamic soil compaction

For dynamic soil compaction an automated control system can be used. It allows for precise operating cycles and minimizes rope wear.

Eco silent mode

Eco silent mode

With the eco silent mode the engine speed can be reduced to a predefined, required level. With this feature a notable reduction in diesel consumption can be achieved without any impact on operational output. Noise emissions are thus also lowered.

Automatic engine stop

Automatic engine stop

The machine can optionally be equipped with an automatic engine stop control. Thanks to this feature it automatically switches off during longer work breaks after evaluating several machine parameters. This is fuel saving and environmentally friendly.

Fleet management and teleservice

Fleet management and teleservice

The data transmission and positioning system “LiDAT” provides important information on the operation of the machine. With these data the operation becomes more efficient. Various additional modules allow machine data reporting or access through service engineers via teleservice.
