With years of experience as a components manufacturer, Liebherr supplies winch systems for various applications in hoisting and conveyor technologies as well as adjustment systems. The winch systems are developed to be modular in order to cover a broad spectrum of customer requirements and allow for delivery of the system with minimal development times.

Liebherr manufactures all essential components in-house, including drum, planetary plug-in gearboxes, squirrel cage motors and control cabinets. The resulting system solutions offer convincing advantages for different target industries ranging from machinery and plant construction, offshore, mining and raw materials industries to hydraulic steelwork, bridge construction or amusement rides.

Customers especially like the winch systems because they’re quick to set up: The complete winch is supplied premounted on a frame, thus eliminating the need for time-consuming on-site assembly. The control cabinet is attached to the winch frame and pre-wired according to the customer's requirements, or can be delivered as a separate unit. The control and power electronics are factory-set to be "Connect & Use" ready. Liebherr’s customer service assists with assembly and commissioning of the winch system at the customer’s site.

Liebherr also provides a design manual with comprehensive details regarding the performance range of Liebherr’s winch systems so customers can take advantage of the modular possibilities to customise their design. Liebherr follows industry-standard requirements when defining the system modules. This means that they cover rope speeds of up to 120 m/min and rope pulls up to 30 t, using squirrel cage motors with power of up to 250 kW. Even more extensive requirements can be considered on request and customer-specific solutions can be offered.
