Bridge building with VarioBase: Night work with minimal erection area

A 110-year old railway bridge has to be replaced. The available crane erection area with a width of seven metres is too narrow for many mobile cranes. But it is not a problem for Liebherr cranes with the VarioBase variable supporting base. Crane contractor Senn positioned its LTM 1130-5.1 and LTM 1160-5.2 mobile cranes intelligently to obtain maximum load capacity from them. Eight nights of tandem hoists went completely smoothly.
