The AW169 is equiped with technology from Liebherr-Aerospace

On July 15, 2015, Finmeccanica-AgustaWestland’s AW169 has obtained its certification by EASA. The new-generation helicopter is equipped with an environmental control system based on vapour cycle Technology, which was not only designed and developed by Liebherr-Aerospace Toulouse SAS, but is also manufcatured by the company located in Toulouse (France). The compressor, which is installed in the engine compartment, powers an air cooling system for the cabin and the cockpit. In cold conditions, a heating system fed by bleed air provides passengers and the crew with warm air.

Certified in accordance with EASA CS-29 / FAR Part 29 latest Amendments, the AW169 is all new multi-purpose twin-engine 4.6 tonne rotorcraft. It can comfortably carry two pilots and up to ten passengers.
