Department of Planning Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) Rail Maintenance Division in Adelaide called a tender for a Road Rail excavator that was to meet a list of requirements. It needed to be a machine that would be versatile, viable and efficient. It also needed to be a multi purpose machine that could be used across various business units to conduct a variety of tasks.
Through a vigorous tender evaluation process of many competitive submissions, the Liebherr A 922 Rail Excavator stood out to be the best value for money and best fit for purpose machine for DPTI. The fact that it was a complete factory built machine, built specifically for rail use, was not only a convenient factor for servicing and repairs but gave a sense of assurance that it was going to be built right.
There is no doubt that the Liebherr A 922 Rail Excavator is a complex machine in their fleet.
