The Service Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and supervision of shop and field repair of machines and equipment, warranty repairs, and pre-delivery of new and used equipment. Responsible for the supervision of shop and field technicians. This is a one year contract opportunity. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8AM to 5PM On Call as required.

Service Coordinator Responsibilities

  • Manage work orders including the opening and closing of work orders accurately by ensuring that labor, parts, subcontracted repairs, lubricant, supplies and parts credits are accurate and work invoicing is done in accordance with company policies and key performance indicators
  • Assist in the preparation of warranty claims and administration
  • Expedite spare parts orders to ensure timely delivery
  • Schedule customer equipment for service
  • Coordinate equipment movement and float moves
  • Organize factory generated modifications and campaigns
  • Business development for the service department, field and shop
  • Handle calls for service department including service issues and concerns of scheduled customer meetings
  • Technical and product support external and internal
  • Maintain and organize orientation and site access requirements
  • Advise on technical training requirements for Service Technicians
  • Review and approve service reports and work orders
  • Administer and communicate Work in Progress (WIP) daily
  • Manage service department purchasing, verify third party payables, and invoice process
  • Safety Committee Member
  • Coordinate contractors for field and shop
  • Maintain service department documentation and prepare quotations
  • Coordinate and maintain service contracts including monthly billing
  • Coordinate service vehicle fleet maintenance
  • Engage employee morale
  • Perform other related tasks

Service Coordinator Competencies

  • Heavy Equipment License (Red Seal)
  • Supervisory or Coordination experience an asset
  • Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent customer relationship skills
  • A dynamic and positive attitude focused on teamwork with an ability to work independently
  • Ability to interact at all levels of the company and with customers
  • Must have experience in the areas of administration, purchase orders and customer service
  • Strong communication and organizational skills required
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel (MS Office Suite) is essential
  • Valid driver's license in the province of employment
  • Willingness to travel locally or nationally and occasionally internationally for training purposes
  • Bilingual French and/or German is asset
