LTM 1110-5.1 Mobile crane

The main features of the LTM 1110-5.1 are its high load capacities with a long telescopic boom together with excellent global mobility. The new 5-axle crane achieves axle loads of 12 tonnes with 13.1 tonnes of ballast, but can also be driven with a gross weight of less than 48 tonnes with a maximum axle load of 10 tonnes. A quick-change system for the ballast slabs ensures maximum flexibility for modifications. The variable support base delivers particularly high load capacities with its widened rear supports, known as VarioBase® Plus. ECOdrive, ECOmode and the hill start aid are important technologies in the crane’s undercarriage.

VarioBase® Plus

The combination of VarioBase technology and the crane’s structural steelwork. A trapezoidal support combined with the various support base delivers even higher lifting capacities, particularly over the crane’s rear outriggers.

ECOdrive

ECOdrive makes the mobile crane significantly more comfortable and quieter by reducing the engine speed. Faster gearshifting delivers greater dynamic and traction offroad. On the road, the torque from the Liebherr diesel engine is used efficiently to minimise fuel consumption.

Single-engine concept

Take one engine out to increase lifting capacity. Or more accurately – the superstructure is powered by the undercarriage engine. Gear shafts are routed from the distributor gear in the substructure via two mitre gears to the pump distributor gear in the superstructure. That enables us to remove one engine – and we use this to increase the crane’s lifting capacity.

ECOmode

ECOmode

ECOmode minimises both fuel consumption and noise emissions when operating the crane superstructure. The crane operator sets the required working speed using the control lever. The LICCON 2 control system calculates the perfect engine speed for the diesel engine.
