Numerous Liebherr premieres at Conexpo-Con/Agg
Liebherr has extended its mobile crane product portfolio with a series of rough-terrain cranes in the 100-US-ton (90-metric-ton) and 110-US-ton (100-metric-ton) classes. They feature high performance, safety and comfort. High safety levels in every aspect were the main priority for the design of the new Liebherr LRT cranes. Both new crane models, for example, feature an outrigger monitoring system as standard, and the support status, on tires or outriggers, is detected automatically and saved to the crane controller.
Welcome to America!
At Conexpo-Con/Agg, Liebherr is also exhibiting several machines for the very first time on an American trade show. One of these novelties is hard to miss: the LR 1500 crawler crane. At a total weight of about 500 US-tons (450 metric tons), you won’t find a heavier machine at Liebherr’s outdoor booth. The LR 1500 is still very compact for a crawler crane in this weight category: it combines the maximum load capacity of a 550-US-ton (500-metric-ton) machine with the compact dimensions and easy transportation that would be expected from a 440-US-ton (400-metric-ton) crawler crane.
Liebherr has upgraded one of its tower crane bestsellers, the 81 K fast-erecting crane. The result is a crane with greater capacity and more flexibility, the 81 K.1. The lifting capacity of the crane has been increased by up to 20 percent. The general benefits of fast-erecting cranes include the rapid erection and versatility in use. Liebherr presents the 81 K.1 for the first time in North America at Conexpo-Con/Agg 2017.
Setting new standards: the new XPower® wheel loaders
Liebherr-XPower® is an integrated, innovative machine concept that sets new standards in terms of fuel efficiency, performance, robust design and comfort. At Conexpo-Con/Agg 2017, Liebherr presents the new wheel loader generation to the U.S. market for the first time. The XPower® wheel loaders have a Stage IV / Tier 4f compliant power-split drivetrain. This combines hydrostatic drive, which is ideal for material uptake and traveling over short distances, with the advantages of mechanical drive that are especially beneficial over long distances and when driving on gradients. This combination enables operators to reduce their machines’ fuel consumption by up to 30 percent.
The new R 920 Compact Swing displayed at Conexpo-Con/Agg 2017 marks the first public appearance of this crawler excavator in North America. The crawler excavator combines the properties of a standard crawler excavator, such as high performance and versatility, with the advantages of a compact machine. With a short tail swing of only 73 inches (1,850 mm), it is effective on construction sites where space is limited. The dimensions of the R 920 Compact ensure unrestricted movement around the jobsite and simple transport from one site to another.
Liebherr is also displaying an innovation for the North American market from the world of deep foundation work: the LRH 600 piling rig. It is a perfect combination of an innovative leader concept and a high-performance machine (LR 1300). The LRH 600 leader elements feature pin connections which allow for especially quick and easy installation. With the fixed leader, the LRH 600 has an effective length of 164 ft (51 m) and a high maximum radius of 50 ft (15 m) and leader kinematics permits inclinations of up to 14 degrees backwards and 9.5 degrees forwards.
Visitors can discover those and many more premieres at the Liebherr outdoor booth #G4637 in the Gold Lot.
