“Aeronautics and Astronautics - for the good of society” - was the motto at the 66th Aerospace Congress in Munich, which was organized by the German Society for Aeronautics and Astronautics – Lilienthal-Oberth e.V. (DGLR). Representatives from the aerospace industry met from September 5 - 7, 2017 in order to show and discuss the latest trends in the industry. As in the past years, Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH also presented itself as a congress sponsor with a booth, supported by five work-study students. Among the different exhibits from the product areas flight controls and landing gear, it was in particular components that were created by a 3D printing process which caught the attention of visitors.

More than 100 scientific lectures on research and industrial topics were held at the congress. One focus, among others, was electric aviation. Liebherr-Aerospace also participated in the speeches program, and thus significantly contributed to the exchange of knowledge.
