At this year's Electric & Hybrid in Amsterdam, Liebherr Components presents its new developed power electronic modules. The liquid-cooled power electronic modules have been developed for a power range from 110 kW to over 2,000 kW in just two module sizes. They can be installed in cabinet installations or as a stand alone single-drive solution. The power electronic modules provide extremely high power density combined with maximum reliability and life time . The fast and reliable protection functions and integrated measuring equipment ensure extended and safe operation in various maritime applications.

All power electronic module components have been selected and optimised for maritime operation and achieve high operational efficiency. The LCU300 series is liquid cooled and enables high power density and less installation space. The fanless design of the converter cubicles achieve low noise and nearly maintenance-free operation.

The power electronic modules are not only installed in diesel-electric hybrid drive solutions but also in fully-electrified ship propulsion systems. Generally, all system solutions, consisting of a generator, an electric motor and a frequency converter are possible. For such applications, Liebherr is exhibiting together with its Dutch partner, Sandfirden Technics, a genset, which is a further configuration possibility in the field of complete ship propulsion systems.

The Liebherr team on stand E5050 in hall 11 is proud to present both module sizes to the professional public.
