The order comprises 26 anti-buckling systems for 26 low-floor trams. These will be operated in future as passenger service vehicles in the city of Huainan, which has a population of 4.8 million and is located in the Chinese province of Jiangsu. The customer, Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co., Ltd., is part of the CSR Corporation Limited headquartered in Zhuzhou (China).

The hydraulic anti-buckling system ensures that the clearance profile outline is maintained under all operating conditions that may be encountered. Function monitoring is carried out by an electronic controller, the so-called BK3 controller, which is integrated by Liebherr. The system from Liebherr-Transportation Systems significantly increases ride comfort and it also reduces wear on the wheels thanks to a hydraulic coupling device, which regulates the position of all bogies.

The first vehicles equipped with these systems are expected to be tested and certified in Huainan by the end of 2015. Furthermore, there are plans to also operate low-floor trams from Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co., Ltd. that are fitted with anti-buckling systems from Liebherr-Transportation Systems in other medium to large Chinese cities in future.
