The currently largest duty cycle crawler crane type HS 8300 HD from Liebherr is presently carrying out dredging work in Piombino, Tuscany. The aim of the project is to remove deposited sediment from the mouth of the port and also to increase the depth of the water. For this purpose the hybrid duty cycle crawler crane is equipped with a hydraulic clamshell grab with a filling capacity of
22 m³.

Lifting Job in Poland
LR 1300 in the Tatra Mountains, Poland
In 2010 it was destroyed by a flood. Now the bridge over the River Biała in Jankowa-Lipniczka, Poland is being rebuilt with the aid of a Liebherr LR 1300, painted in the customer’s colours of blue and white. Split into six bridge sections, material with a total weight of 116 t was installed 5 m above the river. The parts were delivered by truck from Skoczów, Silesia, pre-assembled on site, and then lifted and positioned by the LR crawler crane. The work should be completed by our customer IMB in December this year.
