At the international trade fair for metalworking (AMB), which takes place from 16th to 20th September 2014 in Stuttgart (Germany), numerous new products are being presented by the Liebherr Group as a system supplier for gear cutting machines, tools and automation systems. Among these are the shaper head SKE 120 and the hobbing machine LCH 180 two. The new shaper head, which is available with the hobbing machines from the modular systems 2 (LSE 200-500) and 3 (LSE 600-1600), is a particularly welcome addition in light of the requirements of subcontractors from the gear cutting industry. With the smaller shaper head, users can now process a considerably wider spectrum of components. The hobbing machine LCH 180 two with two horizontally located workpiece spindles and a separate unit for deburring is especially configured to meet the requirements of the automotive and commercial vehicle sector.

From the area of automation systems, Liebherr is presenting a further development of the "Bin Picking" system at the AMB. Until now, teaching-in of the robot's default position within a cell was an extremely timely and costly affair. The system is now supplied ready-to-use with preconfigured modules. With the flexible robot solution for the "Bin Picking" system, withdrawal of lower-level workpieces from containers or bins has now been made economical and reliable. The Liebherr-specific design of the grabbers with eight axes (six are otherwise common on the market) has proven its worth in practical terms, particularly with a view to the cycle time and withdrawal frequency. Also being presented is the palletizing cell LPC 3400.

Liebherr-Verzahntechnik GmbH will be happy to greet visitors at the trade fair stand C 71 in hall 8.
