HS 8040 HD Duty cycle crawler crane

With its 40 tonnes load capacity the HS 8040 HD hydraulic crawler crane convinces through its compact design and operating efficiency. The new developed diesel engine complies with the latest exhaust regulations. Noise emission and fuel consumption were reduced, thus increasing efficiency during operation. Thanks to the optimised hydraulics the duty cycle crawler crane achieves higher turnover rates despite reduced engine power compared to its predecessor model HS 825 HD. The application range of the HS series is almost unlimited due to the availability of many different attachment tools. These include working with grabbers, drag buckets, diaphragm wall grabbers or casing oscillators and can also be used as an auxiliary crane.

Eco silent mode

With the eco silent mode the engine speed can be reduced to a predefined, required level. With this feature a notable reduction in diesel consumption can be achieved without any impact on operational output. Noise emissions are thus also lowered.

The machine can optionally be equipped with an automatic engine stop control. Thanks to this feature it automatically switches off during longer work breaks after evaluating several machine parameters. This is fuel saving and environmentally friendly.

The data transmission and positioning system “LiDAT” provides important information on the operation of the machine. With these data the operation becomes more efficient. Various additional modules allow machine data reporting or access through service engineers via teleservice. more

With the PDE process data recording system machine data is recorded during the working process. With PDR these data can be managed, displayed tabularly or graphically, and analyzed. In combination with the telematics system LiDAT these reports can be easily generated from the office.

Control system for dragline operation

The "interlock" control system for dragline operations ensures powered lowering with drag winch, while lifting of the bucket with the hoist winch. This reduces fuel consumption and minimizes wear of the free fall brake.

Slurry wall grab control

Slurry wall grab control

This is an electronic control for precisely lowering the grab. Thus damage of the grab through hitting the ground is prevented as well as a wash-out of the slurry due to high speed. Furthermore it saves fuel and is easy to operate.

For dynamic soil compaction an automated control system can be used. It allows for precise operating cycles and minimizes rope wear.

Deep vibrator control

An automated control system for the hoisting winch allows for a gradual extraction of the deep vibrator. It can be adjusted depending on the power consumption of the deep vibrator.

For special applications such as dragline operation an additional increase in torque is achieved through the installation of a second or third swing drive.
