World première at the Intermat 2015 trade fair: Liebherr is presenting a new crawler excavator model, the R 960 demolition. It is available in two versions, with boom lengths of 28 m and 34 m. Its maximum operating weight is 93.5 tonnes.

The R 960 demolition supersedes the previous model, the R 954 C demolition. Its diesel engine complies with emissions standard IV/Tier 4f and returns 240 kW/326 HP. With this demolition excavator, attachment tools with a weight of up to 3.5 tonnes can be used.

A high breaking force can be achieved in this way. The new “Liebherr Demolition Control” system is a standard feature in the R 960 demolition. The in-house development from Liebherr was awarded the silver Intermat innovation prize in January 2015 in the “Engineering & Systems” category.
