On June 29, 2016, Bombardier delivered its first CS100 aircraft to Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) during a ceremony in Mirabel, near Montreal (Canada). Liebherr-Aerospace provides two major systems for the single-aisle aircraft: the complete landing gear system as well as the integrated air management system. The company took advantage of its vast experience in landing gears and air management systems for commercial aircraft to optimize the operating costs and the reliability of its systems for the C Series aircraft. The systems are designed, developed and manufactured by Liebherr-Aerospace’s German- and French-based OEM facilities: Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH, Lindenberg (Germany), is responsible for the landing gear, whereas Liebherr-Aerospace Toulouse SAS, Toulouse (France), is in charge of the air management system.

SWISS’ first CS100 aircraft will enter into service on July 15, 2016, between Zurich (Switzerland) and Paris (France).

Liebherr-Aerospace will support its components and systems for the CS100 during the whole product life cycle. With its network of maintenance, repair and overhaul stations and spares distribution across the world, the company’s customer services organization guarantees both high-level performance and customer proximity.
