The name of this wheel loader model range relates to its unique stereo steering, which combines the advantages of various steering systems. The stereo steering is a perfectly balanced combination of articulated steering and a steered wheel axle. This stereo steering enables the Stereoloaders to achieve a turning circle that is up to 20 per cent smaller (when measured over the outer edge of the equipment) than other wheel loaders of this size.

Stereoloaders are ideal for applications in confined spaces. The Stereoloaders can handle tight curves with small radii and challenging steering manoeuvres with ease. The stereo steering enables a reduction in the articulation angle to just 30 degrees and therefore particularly high payloads can be transported with a low operating weight. This also means maximum stability and safety on all types of terrain.

The newly designed operator's cab provides outstanding visibility on all sides thanks to the larger window surfaces. The angled front windscreen has proved itself to be extremely practical in everyday operations. It enables the machine operator to have an optimal view of the raised equipment. Additional carefully considered details, such as the vent window on the right-hand side that can be opened by 180 degrees by the wheel loader’s operator, improve comfort levels.

With wheel loaders of this size, there are typically different machine operators working on the construction site. During the development of the Stereoloaders, Liebherr ensured that they could be operated easily and intuitively. Clearly and ergonomically arranged operating elements, together with the Liebherr control lever integrated into the driver's seat, enable easy operation. The convenient cab design allows the operator to work with high levels of concentration without fatigue, which increases safety and productivity.

With the tried and tested powerful hydrostatic driveline, the Stereoloaders satisfy demanding requirements for the most diverse range of applications. Stereoloaders accelerate smoothly, without interruption to the traction power and without discernible gear changing. The damped oscillating centre pivot also contributes to comfortable and safe handling: it compensates for uneven ground features and provides for excellent overall and tipping stability, as well as maximum driving comfort, even when negotiating obstacles.

With a top speed of 38 km/h, the L 507 Speeder and L 509 Speeder are ideally suited to all applications, including long distances.

For use over longer distances, Liebherr also offers all four Stereoloader models in a ‘Speeder’ version. The L 507 Speeder and L 509 Speeder both achieve a top speed of 38 km/h. The two larger models, the L 514 Speeder and L 518 Speeder, accelerate up to 40 km/h. This means that operators can save time and efficiently move their Stereoloader from one job to the next.

This ensures optimal heat dissipation from the engine and provides consistent and uniform cooling performance. Cooling is on demand, fuel saving and noise reducing.
