Press releases | 04/20/2016 Liebherr at IFAT 2016 in Munich

  • Liebherr stand in Hall C3, the hall for waste management, recycling, recovery and use of raw materials
  • Live demonstration of "Auto-recycling" from BDSV using a Liebherr material handler LH 30 M Industry Litronic
  • Liebherr provides special machines for waste management and the recycling industry

Liebherr is represented with a roughly 300m² stand at IFAT 2016, the leading world trade fair for water, sewage, waste and raw materials management, which takes place from May 30 to June 3, 2016, in Munich. In Hall C3, Stand 251/350, Liebherr exhibits four special machines for recycling industry: two material handlers, one with a wheeled undercarriage and another with a crawler undercarriage, a wheel loader, as well as a telescopic loader.

Live demonstrations from the BDSV, the Federal Association of German Steel Recycling and Disposal Companies, take place outdoors. Liebherr is providing a material handler, type LH 30 M Industry Litronic, for the demonstration of the recycling process of a vehicle.

Liebherr material handlers are used for diverse applications in the area of recycling and waste management. The mobile material handlers and material handlers on crawler chassis, wheel loaders, telescopic handlers, as well as crawler tractors and crawler loaders, sort, separate and load reusable materials and waste quickly and reliably. The materials range from glass and metal to wood and paper through to agricultural waste.

L 546 all-round wheel loader from the mid-size range

At IFAT 2016, Liebherr showcases the largest representative of the new mid-size wheel loaders, the L 546. The new generation of mid-size wheel loaders was unveiled to the public for the first time at Bauma 2016, and complies with the emission guidelines of emission Stage IV/ Tier 4f. With the wheel loaders L 526, L 538 and L 546, the new range includes three models that remain true to the reputation of this machine class as a powerful and reliable all-rounder. In order to further increase the robustness and durability of these wheel loaders, Liebherr has installed larger axles and reinforced the steel structures. The designers have holistically reworked the interior of the cab to provide higher standards of comfort.

The new all-round wheel loaders meet the requirements of companies from the widest variety of sectors. An important field of application is, for example, the recycling industry, where operators place particularly high demands on the machines. Multi-shift operation with up to 6,000 operating hours per year and working with solid rubber tires or foam filled tires are typical for wheel loader operations in this sector. Liebherr has prepared the new all-round wheel loaders for these stringent requirements with targeted investment in robustness.

LH 26 C Electro Industry Litronic material handler

With the LH 26 CE Industry material handler, which was showcased for the first time at Bauma 2016, Liebherr presents another representative of the new generation of material handlers with electric drive at IFAT 2016. The LH 26 CE Industry is particularly suitable for recycling applications, such as the handling, unloading or sorting of waste paper, scrap wood and waste materials. Efficiency and productivity were to the fore during the development of this high-performance machine with compact dimensions.

The Liebherr LH 26 CE Industry combines tried-and-tested technology with a new electric drive concept: low-maintenance, silent and independent of legal emissions standards. The machine is equipped with a 110 kW electric motor, which powers the hydraulic pump directly and continuously. Power, robustness and efficiency are the key features of the electric material handler. The necessary stability for maximum handling capacity is guaranteed by the crawler undercarriage with a width of 2400mm. In addition, the machine is equipped with a reversible fan, as well as a large-mesh cooler, to also guarantee maximum machine availability in applications generating high volumes of dust. The configuration of the exhibit includes a straight, 6.10m long boom, a 4.00m long stick, as well as a Liebherr five-tine grapple, type GM 65 with semi-closed tines, and a load capacity of 0.60m³. The LH 26 CE Industry also impresses with its high level of comfort and optimal service accessibility. All maintenance points are easy to reach from the ground thanks to the large, wide-opening service doors. The productivity of the machine is thus also increased.

LH 30 M material handler

With the LH 30 M material handler, Liebherr presents a powerful all-round talent at IFAT 2016. The LH 30 is available with either a wheeled or a crawler undercarriage. The LH 30 M material handler impresses by its versatility in various types of application, such as scrap handling or sorting operations.

The exhibit at IFAT 2016 is designed for challenging recycling tasks. The configuration includes a straight 7.80m long boom and a 6.00m long industrial stick, as well as a Liebherr five-tine grapple, type GM 65 with semi-closed tines, and a load capacity of 0.60m³.

The new LH 30 M combines intelligent electronics with optimally coordinated hydraulics, and guarantees precise and sensitive work with fast and powerful movements at the same time. The sophisticated machine control guarantees optimal adaptation of the hydraulics to the respective application. Speed and power are available where needed.

TL 441-7 telescopic handler

At IFAT 2016, Liebherr showcases a TL 441-7 telescopic handler with 7 meter lifting height and 4.1 tonne load capacity. Liebherr telescopic handlers impress with the infinitely variable hydrostatic travel drive, the robust overall structure, the safe, simple and comfortable operation, as well as the excellent visibility thanks to the modern machine design.

The Liebherr telescopic handlers are versatile and are used in industrial applications, as well as in the recycling and disposal area, but also in the construction industry or in horticulture and landscaping. There is a large number of configuration variants available for adjusting to the different operating conditions. The spectrum ranges from special protective measures for dusty work environments to diverse comfort functions through to complete equipment and attachments.
