Airbus’ latest long-range aircraft, the A330neo, successfully completed its first flight on October 19th, 2017, in Toulouse (France). Liebherr-Aerospace supplies the new generation of electro-pneumatic technology for the engine bleed air system of the A330neo program.

The engine bleed air system from Liebherr-Aerospace features compact, lightweight and highly reliable bleed valves as well as a pre-cooler with integrated controls. It benefits from Liebherr’s experience in bleed air systems – gained through various projects for a wide range of commercial aircraft, in particular on such Airbus aircraft as the A320neo and the A380.

The system, which will bring substantial reduction in operating costs and significant increases in reliability, is developed, qualified and manufactured in Toulouse (France) by Liebherr-Aerospace Toulouse SAS which also provides the air conditioning and the fuel tank inerting air supply for the A330neo.

Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH, Lindenberg (Germany) also provides several key systems and components for the current Airbus Long Range program, e.g. high lift actuation as well as spoiler and rudder actuation.

Liebherr-Aerospace offers support solutions for its components and systems on board the A330neo during the aircraft’s entire life cycle. Thanks to its international network of maintenance, repair and overhaul stations and spares distribution facilities, the company’s customer service organization ensures customer proximity and high-level performance for aircraft operators across the world.
