Launching the third generation: The new MDC3 opens up far more perspectives than traditional digital cameras. Aside from its image acquisition and transmission functions, what really sets it apart are its additional sensor functions, such as edge images and optical flow. An integrated Ethernet switch on the camera enables the direct daisy-chaining of several cameras in series. Thanks to its robustness, the camera is ideally suited to the challenging environmental conditions of mobile work machinery, from agricultural technology through construction machines to material handlers.

Thanks to the integrated Ethernet switch, the camera has an additional Ethernet connection. This allows any number of cameras to be linked up in series (daisy chain) and to be linked by just one connection to the machine's control system. This saves on wiring outlay and all the costs that go with it.

The MDC3 has a very short latency time. Within no more than 75 milliseconds it transmits the acquired image to the connector. This enables the implementation of a safe Camera Monitor System as per ISO 16001.

Whether in icy conditions down to -40°C or in extreme heat of up to 85°C, you can be sure of a clear image from the camera. The integrated glass heating automatically prevents the icing and misting of the lens. This enhances both driver comfort and safety.

Thanks to its design as a High Dynamic Range (HDR) camera, the MDC3 has far greater dynamic and colour dimensions than traditional cameras. This enables high-contrast images without overexposure and underexposure, and the representation of important image details.

The camera corresponds to the IP6K7 and IP6K9K degrees of protection as per ISO 20653. This means that the entire digital camera can be easily and rapidly cleansed of heavy soiling using a high-pressure water jet.

Mounting bracket

The robust mounting bracket makes for easy mounting of the MDC3. This makes the camera flexible enough to be mounted in any nook or cranny of the machine.

Closing cap

Reliably protected: The closing cap ensures safe transport or watertight protection of the camera.

M12 / RJ45 patch cable

The 3 m-long patch cable connects the camera to the machine control system. This cable also powers the camera.

When the driver moves a machine backwards or sideways, a reliable depiction of the work environment is all the more important. Thanks to the horizontal mirror function of the MDC3, the driver always comfortably maintains control when the camera is used as a replacement mirror for the rear area.
