“When I chose to study business informatics, the practical relevance was very important to me. Particularly the ability to implement what you learn in the company on your own initiative, and gaining familiarity in as many different fields as possible. That is why I chose a “dual study course” with Liebherr. Today I can say, it exceeded my expectations.
While studying, I did a project on compliance and licensing. I drew inspiration from that, and prepared a concept for Liebherr. I still remember very clearly when I presented it to my boss, feeling all motivated and proud. Unexpectedly I had my own project to develop and oversee software licensing worldwide, which I shared responsibility for with my boss. . As part of my role, I am in close contact with all Liebherr companies. I support them and negotiate terms and contracts with major software providers. At the moment we are also dealing with current topics such as cloud services, and issues relating to digital transformation. For me personally, it is very exciting, because there are still many unanswered questions. In Munich I instigated a fairly large event where our colleagues could exchange ideas with each other and find out about digital themes and products in guest lectures. It was really nice to receive so much positive feedback about this event from other colleagues.
It is wonderful at Liebherr because I can combine studying with practical work, and also directly implement course projects in the company. I have acquired a large amount of specialist knowledge in different departments. The best thing about it is that I do not feel at all like a inexperienced student. I am treated as an equal who works on her own projectsand whose opinion is respected. I am immensely grateful that so much trust is placed in me.”
