Features Technical data Downloads Optional equipment Applications Videos Attachments Safe access Side platforms, railings and ladders are fully integrated in the new machine design and no longer need to be removed for transport. Easy refuelling Diesel or urea (AdBlue) can be refilled via the side platform. Flexible counterweight Thanks to the modular counterweight system the duty cycle crawler crane can be individually equipped depending on the application. Transport Detachable crawlers reduce the transport weight to under 35 tonnes. Gear oil level warning The display indicates to the driver as soon as gear oil has to be refilled for the main winches, the swing drive and the luffing winch. Comfort This includes a modern air-conditioning system with improved airflow, an optimized field of vision and increased noise protection, as well as an orthopaedic operator’s seat with integrated heating and cooling. Engine Engine The latest Stage V (Tier 4f) engine from Liebherr convinces through reduced noise and exhaust emissions, as well as lower fuel consumption with a simultaneous increase in engine power. more High service availability High service availability A global service network with experienced technicians and fast access to spare parts ensure high machine availability and a long product service life. more Compatible Compatible Boom and rear counterweight are compatible with the next larger machine HS 8100.1. Performance Performance Thanks to the optimization of the complete drive system the duty cycle crawler crane can perform even more efficiently. Intelligent crane control Intelligent crane control The crane control system offers a multitude of programme and control options. Color displays clearly provide service and machine data. All movements can be carried out simultaneously. The operator thus benefits from a facilitated handling of the rig. Furthermore, quick working cycles are achieved. Flexibility in operation Flexibility in operation Thanks to the modular concept in combination with a variety of equipment options, the crane can be configured for its special job: This includes working with slurry wall grab and casing oscillator, material loading with grab or drag bucket, dynamic soil compaction as well as dredging. more Max. lifting capacity 70 t Min. transport width 2,983 mm Min. transport height 3,426 mm Min. transport weight 35 t Engine power 320 kW Max. winch line pull 2 x 200 kN Max. main boom 50.00 m Boom length in grab operation 32.00 m Boom length in dragline operation 29.00 m Operating weight 72 t Travel speed 1.50 km/h Max. depth dragline operation 11.00 m Max. capacity of dragline bucket 3.80 m³ Max. capacity of clamshell 7.00 m³ at radius 10.00 m Technical data – HS 8070.1 duty cycle crawler crane PDF (9.2 MB) Overview HS series duty cycle crawler cranes PDF (54.1 KB) Technical data (USA) – HS 8070.1 duty cycle crawler crane PDF (9.2 MB) Overview HS series (USA) duty cycle crawler cranes PDF (56.2 KB) Hydraulic slurry wall grab HSG 5-18 (USA) PDF (7.7 MB) Hydraulic slurry wall grab HSG 5-18 PDF (7.7 MB) Solutions for deep foundation work PDF (8.7 MB) Solutions for Material Handling PDF (6.6 MB) Customer service for crawler cranes and foundation machines PDF (7 MB) Field Service PDF (6.1 MB) Original Liebherr Retrofits PDF (3.6 MB) Upgrade: Earth Spike PDF (1.2 MB) Crane Planner 2.0 flyer PDF (3.7 MB) Crane Planner 2.0 flyer (USA) PDF (4 MB) LiSIM - training simulators for construction machines PDF (3.8 MB) Process data recording PDE and process data reporting PDR PDF (161 KB) Fuel costs matter! Lifting operation Equipped with an additional counterweight and a fixed jib, the duty cycle crawler crane can operate as an auxiliary crane. Recording of working processes (PDE) With the PDE process data recording system machine data is recorded during the working process. more Control system for dragline operation The "interlock" control system for dragline operations ensures powered lowering with drag winch, while lifting of the bucket with the hoist winch. This reduces fuel consumption and minimizes wear of the free fall brake. Slurry wall grab control This is an electronic control for precise lowering of the grab. It protects the grab during positioning, prevents caving in of the trench due to high speeds, saves fuel, and is simple to handle. Automated control system for dynamic soil compaction For dynamic soil compaction an automated control system can be used. It allows for precise operating cycles and minimizes rope wear. Eco silent mode Eco silent mode With the eco silent mode the engine speed can be reduced to a predefined, required level. With this feature a notable reduction in diesel consumption can be achieved without any impact on operational output. Noise emissions are thus also lowered. Automatic engine stop Automatic engine stop The machine can optionally be equipped with an automatic engine stop control. Thanks to this feature it automatically switches off during longer work breaks after evaluating several machine parameters. This is fuel saving and environmentally friendly. Fleet management and teleservice Fleet management and teleservice The data transmission and positioning system “LiDAT” provides important information on the operation of the machine. With these data the operation becomes more efficient. Various additional modules allow machine data reporting or access through service engineers via teleservice. more Slurry wall installation with grab A clamshell grab excavates the slurry wall panels. more Dragline operation Typical applications with dragline bucket include the excavation of various bulk goods, such as gravel and sand, from rivers or quarries. more Grab operation Fitted with a range of different mechanical or hydraulic grabs, duty cycle crawler cranes are used for typical material handling tasks with large working radii. more Drilling with bored pile grab Drilling with bored pile grab is a dry drilling method loosening the building ground either by cutting or by impacting – depending on the working tool used. more Impact compaction For impact compaction a tamper weight is dropped to the ground from a great height. more HS 8070.1 The allrounder Call up video World Premiere 2020 Call up video Duty cycle crawler cranes - range of applications Call up video Training Call up video Video - Automatic engine stop control explained Call up video Best of HS dragline Call up video Diagnosis screen and remote control Call up video Dredging Assistant Call up video HSG 5-18 Slurry wall grab Wall thickness 500 - 1,800 mm Jaw opening width 2,500 - 3,600 mm Max. closing force at teeth 594 kN View details
