Fifty Liebherr LTM 11200-9.1 mobile cranes sold

A fantastic intermediate result for a crane in this load capacity class: the fiftieth Liebherr LTM 11200-9.1 large crane will be delivered in September. The mobile crane with a maximum load capacity of 1,200 tonnes was sold to Japanese company Yamagata. General manager Koichi Sambonsuge visited the Liebherr plant in Ehingen to inspect his new purchase. Find out more

Liebherr-Australia opens new Sales and Service Centre near Brisbane

Under the motto "Committed to Your Success", Liebherr-Australia Pty. Ltd. opened its new Sales and Service Centre at Yatala near Brisbane (Queensland) in April 2014. The official opening ceremony was celebrated on Friday the 15th of August 2014 and was attended by numerous customers and other guests. Liebherr at the NordBau 2014 trade fair

At the construction machine trade fair, NordBau 2014, in Neumünster (Germany), which runs from 10th to 14th September, the Liebherr Group will have a total of 15 construction machines on show from the latest range. At a large open air stand (Nord N143), measuring 800 m², Liebherr offers trade visitors a cross section from its range of earthmoving and material handling equipment. Two Liebherr dealers are also presenting Liebherr tower cranes and truck mixers at their stands. Find out more

New Liebherr mobile cranes – BKL Baukran Logistik invests in new site

An order has been placed for six new Liebherr mobile cranes with load capacities between 45 and 200 tonnes by BKL Baukran Logistik GmbH. They will be stationed at the new site in Ingolstadt and will be available for a very wide range of hoisting work in the future. Site Manager Rainer Speich visited the Liebherr plant in Ehingen at the beginning of June to take delivery of an LTC 1045-3.1 and an LTM 1130-5.1. Find out more

First operation of the Liebherr LR 11000 crawler crane a complete success

A Liebherr LR 11000 crawler crane was in operation for the first time. One of the first models of the new 1000-tonne crane was transported to the Petrom refinery in Plojesti, near the Romanian capital Bucharest. In the course of the modernisation of the plant, several columns had to be hoisted into the existing system. The largest of the massive steel cylinders measured 58 metres in length with a 4-metre diameter and weighed in at 335 tonnes. It was a tricky job for the specialists from heavy load contractor Felbermayr based in Austria since the work had to be carried out with the plant running and in extremely constricted conditions. 30,000th Liebherr mobile crane delivered

After the delivery of an LTM 1500-8.1, Liebherr-Werk Ehingen GmbH can now boast the proud total of 30,000 mobile cranes supplied to customers. The Liebherr 500-tonner was supplied to the Mexican company Grupo DPH, a crane and heavy load contractor. In reaching its decision to buy from Liebherr, one of the major factors for Grupo DPH was the existence of Liebherr Mexico S.de R.L, a sales and service subsidiary founded in 2013. Find out more

Enormous legs for a ship. Liebherr LR 13000 in operation for the first time with PowerBoom

The Lloyd shipyard in Bremerhaven was the arena for the largest conventional crawler crane in the world this April and May. Following its first job in 2012/13 in the USA, the Liebherr LR 13000 crawler crane has just completed its impressive European premiere. Mighty jack-up legs 87 metres in length, each weighing 940 tons, were installed in the "Aeolus" jack-up vessel. The parallel boom of the LR 13000, referred to as "PowerBoom", was used for this for the first time. Find out more

Improved safety for Mobile Cranes by Variable Supporting Base from Liebherr

At the MaskinExpo, which takes place from May 22-24, 2014, Liebherr presents the five-axle mobile crane LTM 1130-5.1. The exhibit is equipped with “VarioBase”, the variable supporting base that Liebherr introduced to the market at Bauma 2013 in Munich, Germany. Find out more

Liebherr LR 11350 crawler crane moves giant ring liner in India

A Liebherr crawler crane LR 11350 erected a complete pre-formed ring linger during the construction of reactor block 3 at the Kakrapar Nuclear Power Plant in Western India in the State Gujarat. A unit owned by Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd (NPCIL), the Government owned company for nuclear energy and nuclear power plants in India. With a diameter of around 50 m, a height of 5 m and a total weight of approx. 170 t including the weight of the ring, the spider type lifting tackle fitted with evener beam, the ring was probably the dimensionally largest single structure ever to have been hoisted by a crane in India.
