Night shift in Luxembourg: Liebherr crane duo lifts 92-tonne motorway bridge

The A3 is a very busy motorway that links Luxembourg and France. In the course of its six-lane expansion, several bridges need to be widened – the Pont Berchem is one of them. ATS Cranes from Luxembourg, a branch of Steil Kranarbeiten based in Trier, together with other business partners, was awarded the contract and lifted the five bridge sections with its Liebherr LTM 1650-8.1 and LTM 1300-6.3 crane duo at the end of September 2023. 28th Liebherr in 29 years: Ullrich Krane adds an LTM 1250-5.1 to its fleet

Ullrich Krane GmbH has taken delivery of a Liebherr LTM 1250-5.1 mobile crane. The 250-tonne machine replaces a 6-axle LTM 1250-6.1 that has served the company faithfully for nine years. The new 5-axle crane is the 28th crane that the Chemnitz-based company has bought from Liebherr during its 29 year history. The crane rental company has almost exclusively operated Liebherr mobile cranes since it opened for business. Find out more

Zero emission, full power: The world's first LTC 1050-3.1E goes to Mammoet

The globally operating Dutch crane and heavy haulage company Mammoet has taken delivery of the first electrically driven Liebherr mobile crane. The LTC 1050-3.1E is equipped with an electric motor in addition to the conventional drive. Crane movements can thus optionally be carried out using electricity. The new variant of the compact Liebherr 50-tonner thus contributes to CO2 reduction and meets the requirements for operation on "zero emission" construction sites. Find out more

Next-generation LICCON3 control: RIGA MAINZ receives one of the very first LTM 1110-5.2 cranes

Liebherr is delivering the first ten LTM 1110-5.2 cranes equipped with the new LICCON3 crane control to customers in Europe. All prototype tests are now complete and the series production stage has been reached. Liebherr will incorporate the crane operators' experience of working with the new crane type under real-world operating conditions into its series production process. The crane and heavy haulage contractor RIGA MAINZ has taken delivery of one of the first LTM 1110-5.2 machines. Find out more

LTM 1750-9.1 in action in Cologne: balcony renovation at the Axa high-rise building

Once a showcase project and, at the planning stage, even Europe’s tallest residential building – the Axa high-rise on the banks of the Rhine in Cologne was completed in 1973 and still provides accommodation for around 1,000 people on 43 of its 45 floors. As the building’s exposed aggregate concrete balconies have been dilapidated for some time, they are now being removed and replaced. An LTM 1750-9.1 and, as an auxiliary crane, an LTM 1150-5.3 were brought in to prepare the work site. Find out more

Global Wind Projects and Global Crane Services expand their crane fleet with a Liebherr LG 1750

Global Wind Projects, a leading UK provider of crane and installation services for wind turbines, has joined forces with its sister company Global Crane Services to strengthen their joint crane fleet with a Liebherr LG 1750. The 750-tonne lattice boom mobile crane, which combines the performance of a crawler crane with the mobility of an all-terrain mobile crane, joins an LG 1750 and LR 1750 crawler crane, as well as over 60 mobile cranes with lifting capacities ranging from 25 to 750 tonnes in the Global fleet, and will help the company to meet growing demand from the wind industry in the UK and Ireland. First new Liebherr mobile construction crane for Poland

An MK 88-4.1 mobile construction crane is the first new machine from the MK series in Poland. The company Piomar sp. z o.o. owns several mobile cranes built at Liebherr’s Ehingen site and has also decided in favour of Swabian manufacturing for its new taxi crane. Find out more
