Liebherr wheel loader L 550 displayed at Excon 2015: Increased productivity at construction site

At Excon 2015, Liebherr is exhibiting the wheel loader L 550, an example of its expanding wheel loader product range for the Indian market. Due to the hydrostatic driveline, the L 550 is – like all Liebherr wheel loaders – very fuel efficient, consuming up to 25 percent less fuel compared with conventional wheel loaders under the same conditions. The high tipping load of the machine increases the productivity at work, because larger buckets can be used to handle more material with each loading cycle. Find out more

Liebherr Quarry Days attract over 1,000 visitors from all over the world

In the middle of October the Liebherr Group welcomed over 1,000 international customers from the quarrying sector in Saint-Nabor, France. The practical event offered visitors the opportunity to see a live demonstration of special Liebherr machines, and above all the chance to also test them out. There were new products among the 20 machines on show, such as the R 956 crawler excavator, the PR 726 crawler tractor and the new Liebherr large wheel loader XPower®. Find out more

Liebherr Cranes used on the construction of Queensferry Crossing, Scotland

In Edinburgh (Scotland), more than 12 Liebherr cranes, including three Liebherr 630 EC-H 40 Litronic top-slewing cranes are involved every day in the Forth Crossing Bridge construction. Following its scheduled completion by the end of 2016, this 2.7 km long bridge will be the world’s longest cable stayed bridge with three towers. Products from three Liebherr divisions have been used extensively during the life of the project. Find out more

Two Liebherr R 980 SME models for direct excavation: Schwenk Zement KG brings 100 tonne crawler excavator into operation

To increase its productivity, Schwenk Zement KG recently decided to purchase two Liebherr R 980 SME crawler excavators. The investment in the two 100 tonne excavators was made through the Ulm-based Liebherr sales partner, Nagel Baumaschinen Ulm GmbH.
