October is Breast Cancer awareness month. In a measurement of life and vitality, a concept by ASARCO Ray Mine in Arizona, USA, was implemented to help spread awareness of Breast Cancer by painting one of the world's largest haul trucks, a Liebherr T 282 C.

The truck was painted by ASARCO employees with 35 gallons of pink paint and 20 gallons of grey paint. The pink Liebherr haul truck was available from October 1-4, 2014 during the day shift at the truck shop at the mine for employees to write the name of a loved one that has been affected.

As of now ASARCO runs 21 T 282 B and two T 264 Liebherr Mining trucks. The truck keeps the pink color and is back in operation. Liebherr Mining Equipment Newport News Co. would like to extend their thanks to ASARCO Ray Mine for using a Liebherr mining truck to help spread Breast Cancer Awareness.
