Airbus Helicopters has recently delivered the first two of a total of six H145 helicopters to Rega, the Swiss Air-Resuce. The plan is to replace Rega’s EC145 fleet by the middle of 2019. The first two helicopters will be based in Berne and Basel. The first H145 will start operation this October, after the completion of the medical outfit of the cabin and the approval by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).

Liebherr-Aerospace has already supplied important components such as the main and tail rotor servo controls, the tail rotor gearbox, the hydraulic power supply and gears for power transmission gearboxes for the predecessor EC145 helicopter and had been selected to continue with its supply scope for the succeeding H145 as well.

The twin-engine H145 features a four-axis autopilot and can perform satellite-based approach flights with extreme precision.
