Kran Kompagniet conquers hoist height with Liebherr mobile crane in a flash

Up, up and away – Danish crane operator Kran Kompagniet ApS has speeded up its crane set-up work on site and has also gained hoist height by buying a new Liebherr LTM 1450-8.1. The telescopic boom on the 450-tonne mobile crane is 85 metres long, making it unique in this crane class. Find out more

Wind farm maintenance work – CEZ purchases Liebherr LR 1600/2 crawler crane

CEZ Group in Romania has purchased a Liebherr LR 1600/2 crawler crane and an LTM 1130-5.1 mobile crane. The subsidiary of the Czech CEZ Group runs the largest onshore wind farm in Europe. The new machines will be used for the maintenance and repair work there and for modernising the CEZ wind farm. Find out more

Customers from more than 80 countries experienced two world premieres at the Customer Days in Ehingen

According to the motto ‘Strongly connected’, Liebherr-Werk Ehingen GmbH invited 3,000 customers to its plant in Southern Germany at 13 and 14 June. The manufacturer unveiled new crane models from its crawler and mobile crane division. During an open house day on 16 June, Liebherr invited employees’ families and friends and presented impressive mobile and crawler crane demonstrations. Find out more

75 metre telescopic boom – Liebherr unveils new LTM 1230-5.1 at its customer days

"Long, powerful and versatile" is Liebherr's description of its new LTM 1230-5.1 mobile crane at its customer days 2018 at the manufacturing plant in Ehingen. The highlights include the length and lifting capacity of the telescopic boom. Its predecessor, the LTM 1200-5.1, also had one of the longest telescopic booms in this crane class at 72 metres. The new 230-tonne crane not only delivers an extra 3 metres in length but also an average of 20 percent greater lifting capacity. In addition to a multi-functional folding jib, a 43 m fixed jib is also available. The Liebherr innovations VarioBase®, VarioBallast, ECOmode and ECOdrive mean that crane operators can use the new LTM 1230-5.1 with even more safety and efficiency. Find out more

Designed for maximum performance: Liebherr unveils new 800-tonne LR 1800-1.0 crawler crane

Liebherr is set to unveil a new 800-tonne crawler crane to visitors from all over the world at its 2018 customer days – the LR 1800-1.0. Outstanding lifting capacities and low cost transport around the world are the main features of the new large crane. It has been designed as a particularly powerful industrial crane for jobs with a luffing jib and derrick system, for example for power plant construction and the petrochemicals industry. For the first time the boom system features lattice sections with three system dimensions which can be telescoped into each other for transport. Find out more

Al Faris takes delivery of the first Liebherr LRT rough-terrain cranes in the Middle East

Al Faris Equipment Rentals took delivery of two new Liebherr rough-terrain cranes at its company headquarters in Dubai in April – an LRT 1090-2.1 and an LRT 1100-2.1. These are the first of the new Liebherr series to enter use in the Middle East. They are part of a major order from Al Faris for a total of 27 Liebherr cranes which will be delivered before the end of this year – 14 LRT cranes and 13 LTM cranes with a total value of over 23 million euros. First Liebherr crane for DB Port – LRT rough-terrain crane will be used for loading work
