A first in Mexico: Gruas y Maniobras del Bajio takes delivery of a Liebherr LTM 1650-8.1

The crane and transport company Gruas y Maniobras del Bajio S.A. de C.V. (GMB) has taken delivery of the first Liebherr LTM 1650-8.1 mobile crane in Mexico. The new 700-tonne crane will significantly strengthen the crane fleet of the company based in Santiago de Querétaro in central Mexico. To date, a 350-tonner was its largest mobile crane. Hand in hand: Liebherr LTM 1650-8.1 and LTM 1450-8.1 mobile cranes master complex bridge renovation project

Due to damage to the Hammesberg Wupper Bridge in Wuppertal Heckinghausen, built in 1965, it is now being replaced by a new bridge. After dismantling the old structure, two large Liebherr mobile cranes – an LTM 1650-8.1 from Autokrane Schares GmbH and an LTM 1450-8.1 from Dornseiff Autokrane & Schwertransporte GmbH – lifted eight 85-tonne precast concrete elements onto the abutments over the Wupper. More lifting power, less CO2 – new LTM 1070-4.2 for Bruns in Magdeburg

Bruns Schwerlast GmbH purchased three new Liebherr cranes last year. In addition to an LTR 1100 and an LTM 1050-3.1, an LTM 1070-4.2 was recently added to the crane hire company’s fleet. Equipped with ECOmode and ECOdrive, the latter model is characterised by reduced fuel consumption and lower noise emissions. Find out more

First mobile crane in the fleet: Stützle-Späth takes delivery of a Liebherr LTM 1110-5.2

Stützle-Späth GmbH & Co KG has purchased its first mobile crane. An LTM 1110-5.2 now lines up alongside dozens of work platforms, forklifts and loading cranes in its fleet. Thömen assembles two railway bridges in Berlin with a Liebherr LR 1800-1.0

“I'm delighted,” says Dino Wachsbaum from Thömen Schwertransport und Krantechnik GmbH about the LR 1800-1.0. He operated the 800-tonne Liebherr crawler crane on its first job in Berlin: Thömen assembled two railway bridges in the Neukölln district. The BTT-E wireless remote control made it much easier to set up and dismantle the heavy-duty crane in the confined space. Find out more

The LR 11000 from Liebherr packs a punch: higher wind turbines and heavier nacelles

RIGA MAINZ replaces old railway bridge with Liebherr crawler crane LR 1750/2

The German Railway has renewed a bridge over the Riß in Biberach. A Liebherr crawler crane LR 1750/2 from the crane and heavy haulage company RIGA MAINZ lifted out the old bridge sections and placed the new bridge in two parts, each weighing 285 tons. These were positioned on completely newly built abutments. Find out more
