The Field Service Supervisor for Heavy Duty Equipment is responsible for overall service operation of the earthmoving division including coordination and supervision of shop and field repair of machines and equipment, warranty repairs, and per-delivery of new and used equipment.
Responsiblities
- Adhere and promote safety requirements as per company policies
- Handle calls for service department including service issues, scheduling customer equipment for service
- Manage, organize and approve work orders including the opening and closing of work orders, factory generated modifications and campaigns
- Coordinate equipment movement, float moves & service vehicle fleet maintenance
- Complete accurate invoicing for labor, parts, subcontracted repairs, lubricant, supplies and parts in accordance with policy & KPIs
- Work in conjunction with the Warranty Manager to resolve customer warranty and claims issues
- Maintain and organize orientation and site access requirements
- Advise and support technical training requirements for Service Technicians including business development for the service department (field and shop)
- Coordinate and maintaine service department purchasing and service contracts, verify third party payables, and invoice process (department documentation and prepare quotations)
- Other duties as assigned
Competencies
- Heavy Equipment License (Red Seal) is a must
- 3+ years Supervisory or Coordination experience
- Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to establish relationships with customers and technicians
- A dynamic and positive attitude focused on teamwork with an ability to work independently
- A strong level of professionalusm - Ability to interact at all levels of the company and with customers
- Must have experience in the areas of administration, purchase orders and customer service
- Proficiency in Word, Excel (MS Office Suite) is required
- Valid driver's license in the province of employment
- Willingness to travel locally or nationally and occasionally internationally for training purposes
