The IT Business Analyst plans, executes and coordinates activities of designated projects to ensure that goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. The IT Business Analyst is also involved with the IT department’s daily business support and continuous business process improvements.

Responsibilites

  • Reviews projects proposal and plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, and allotment of available resources.
  • Execute project steps including hardware and software implementation, data and parameters definition, business process definition and end user training.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system or process issues.
  • Execute testing and application validation before delivery to key-users.
  • Develop test plans, test cases, test scripts and test reports accordingly.
  • Support project key users for testing and configuration of systems implemented.
  • Coordinates project activities with Liebherr companies or external suppliers.
  • Validate that user expectations are achieved.
  • Prepares project reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Participate or lead continuous improvement projects for various departments or US divisions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues in our ERPs affecting our daily business.
  • Development of SharePoint forms, Web application, reports or other tools as required.
  • Documentation of policy, procedures and work instructions.
  • Escalate and coordinate problems with management, as required.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies in applications used in our environment through training, independent research and involvement with standard-setting Liebherr groups.
  • Other duties as required.

Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer/Information Science or Business Management with 1 - 2 years of related experience or a combination of equivalent education and experience. Experience in Microsoft .NET C# and T-SQL preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze systems and processes in a business environment.

Additional Requirements

  • Occasional overnight/extended domestic and international travel as required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license and passport.
