The largest excavator produced by Liebherr-Mining Equipment Colmar SAS is a giant: the R 9800 is 11 metres high and, with an operating weight of 800 tonnes, it’s nearly three times the weight of an Airbus A380. Just like the other giant hydraulic excavators from Colmar, the R 9800 is used in extreme conditions all around the world to move commodities like iron ore, copper, coal, and diamond.
