Liebherr has further invested in the development of electric travel drives. The portfolio has been expanded to a series-production range with three further sizes, now including the electric travel drives eFAT325 through eFAT500.
The product family of LH30VO hydraulic pumps was expanded at Agritechnica to include two additional rated sizes. This means that the medium pressure pump now incorporates three rated sizes with specific volumes of between 28 and 85 cm3.
Integrated into a Teksan generator set, the impressive 20-cylinder gas engine G9620 by Liebherr has this year impressed the Turkish public at ICCI in Istanbul.
The ever-growing demand for Reman components reworked as new is leading to increased capacity requirements. In April, therefore, as part of a customer and family day, the 2500m2 new hall building in Ettlingen was officially inaugurated.
At the start of the year we were able to announce the delivery of the largest ever roller bearing slewing ring to be built by Liebherr. The segmented large diameter slewing bearing with its 10 meter diameter also serves as the perfect symbol for the extension of the portfolio to include segmented bearings.
In October, the innovative injection systems from Liebherr were presented at the 26th Aachen Colloquium. Through the perfect interplay of all components, our common rail systems enable individual adaptations for a wide range of engine variants. Their spectrum of use extends from on-road and off-road machinery to stationary applications.
Scientists at the Technical University of Munich (TU Munich) have undertaken the task of producing detailed calculation principles for bridge statics. On the test stand especially built for the purpose, six Liebherr hydraulic cylinders press down on the concrete elements until they break, ensuring successful testing.
At Hannover Messe in April, Liebherr presented the LiView smart cylinder position transducer system to the public. Through its unique measurement principle, LiView is suited to all cylinder lengths and piston diameters. The simple mechanical integration of the robust electronics saves time and costs.
With the D9812 named "Diesel of the Year", Liebherr diesel engines made a roaring start to 2017. This title is awarded annually by a renowned motoring magazine, and this year honours the first cylinder configuration of the new D98XX series, as the most innovative engine of the year.
With the PEG 1200, Liebherr has extended its series production range of planetary plug-in gearboxes with an extra size. The currently largest plug-in gearboxes from the portfolio are predominantly used in ships and offshore cranes, deck winches, dredging vessels and industrial applications. The PEG 1200 can also be adapted to be driven by both electric and hydraulic motors.
At SPS IPC Drives, Liebherr presented its in-house developed energy storage system "Liduro", which has been specially designed to increase the efficiency of mobile and stationary applications.
