The construction company M. Dumberger Bauunternehmung GmbH & Co. KG has ordered six Liebherr 125 K fast-erecting cranes in company colours as well as a LiTRAX high-speed axle in package from Liebherr dealer Nagel Baumaschinen Augsburg GmbH. The first three cranes were delivered in the last couple of weeks. One of these is already in operation at a large housing construction project in Langweid am Lech.
The Liebherr 125 K fast-erecting crane, with a radius of 55 metres and an eight-tonne maximum lifting capacity, is the largest fast-erecting crane on the market. Its flexibility and performance data will be of great advantage during the construction of 34 apartments, spread out over four buildings, in Langweid am Lech near Augsburg. The 125 K will be in use throughout the construction project for tasks such as the lifting of prefabricated concrete parts weighing up to eight tonnes. The 125 K is being supported by an 81 K.
Dumberger is the developer and main contractor of the project. In several construction phases, ten multi-occupancy buildings with 89 apartments, 44 semi-detached houses and 18 terraced houses will be built on approximately 40,000 square metres of land. The so-called Langweid Village will continue to grow over the coming years. The four buildings being erected with the help of the 125 K are expected to be ready for occupancy at the beginning of next year.
The delivery and erection of the first 125 K by Liebherr dealer Nagel with whom Dumberger has had a close business relationship for decades, was eagerly awaited by those working at the construction site. For them, it is the precision control system and high quality workmanship of the new cranes that matter, as well as their impressive reach and lifting capacity.
Dumberger was founded in 1945 and is a family owned business, now in its third generation. Today, it employs around 170 people and is one of the largest construction companies in the Augsburg region. The company exclusively uses its own employees for construction work as well as its own machinery, the newest ones are the six Liebherr 125 K fast-erecting cranes. These complement the existing fleet of Liebherr machinery perfectly: in addition to ten 81 Ks, Dumberger also owns two wheeled excavators (A 918 Compact Litronic und A 924 Litronic), a wheel loader L550 XPower and an LTM 1070-4 mobile crane.

Considerate and flexible: two Liebherr NC-B cranes at work in Sai Kung
A new residential development is under construction in Ho Chung, Sai Kung. Foundation and excavation and lateral support works have been underway since December 2024 and are expected to continue until end of 2026. Two Liebherr NC-B 12-70 tower cranes are handling material logistics on the confined site.

Water for a whole valley: Liebherr Fibre crane at work high in Val Trompia
In Bovegno, Italy, work is progressing on a new drinking water treatment plant designed to supply thousands of residents and businesses across the Val Trompia region. Handling the major lifting tasks on site is a Liebherr 240 EC-B Fibre tower crane, its fourth deployment and the first of its kind to arrive in the country.
