Two Liebherr refrigerators and freezers received the Red Dot Design Award this year: The BlackSteel CBNPbs 3756 combined refrigerator/freezer and the integrable SBS 70I4 side-by-side combination with energy efficiency class A++ received the coveted design prize in the product design category.
1200 guests are expected at the official awards ceremony, which takes place on 7 July 2014 at the Aalto Theatre in Essen. The Red Dot Design Award is one of the most prestigious international design competitions. When choosing the recipients, the experts on the jury demand high standards of creativity, innovation and product quality. In 2014 the decisions were made by the largest jury in the history of the award: More than 40 international experts spent three days choosing the prize-winners.

At InnoTrans 2026, Liebherr will unveil its new railroad excavator for the first time: the RE 22 M Litronic. This model expands the existing range to include a machine in the 22-tonne class with hydrostatic rail-wheel drive and is the successor to the A 922 Rail and A 924 Rail. The machine combines tried-and-tested components from the A 922 Rail with a newly developed undercarriage and a new operator's cab.
